Harborwalk Park

LANDSCAPE DESIGN

The University of Massachusetts Boston is undergoing a dramatic transformation as it reshapes its entire roadway and pedestrian circulation network.

This project, driven by engineering upgrades, will provide this oceanfront campus with a more sustainable and accessible landscape.

Highlights of the project include a new seaside Commencement Lawn for graduation and the Beacon Walkway that will connect bicycles and pedestrians from one end of campus to the other. Peter Hedlund was Principal in Charge of this project for landscape design and planning while at Sasaki.
