Bristol Community College

Master Plan & Landscape Design

The new Technology and Learning Center at Bristol Community College is a Zero Net Energy (ZNE) building, one of the very few ZNE lab buildings in the state.

Following the master plan, the design team completed a concept plan and working design documents for this building and landscape. The site design expands the sustainability mission of the college, creating a new arrival sequence to campus and incorporating a green roof and innovative stormwater design strategies.

Bristol Community College received a Leading by Example Award from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the commitment to sustainability of this project. Peter Hedlund was the Principal Landscape Architect for this project while at Sasaki.
