Thomas Brooks Park

MASTER PLAN

Thomas Brooks Park is a neighborhood park in Medford, MA that is anchored by a historic wall, said to have been built over 250 years ago.

The former estate house of Thomas Brooks was located on the site of the current park and was removed in 1860.

The master plan establishes a vision for the park rooted in its history with appropriate upgrades to refresh the park for a new generation. Improvements include repairing and stabilizing the historic wall and proposing an archaeological dig for the former estate area. Other park improvements focus on increasing access to the park with maintained trails, entry signage, new crosswalks, and a new community garden.

Peter Hedlund of Hedlund Design Group was principal and lead consultant for this project, teamed with PAL, Inc. and Restoration Masons.
